FMEA(Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) is a method for identifying all potential problems in a design, manufacturing, assembly process, or product or service. The root cause analysis (RCA) method entails identifying the underlying issue that initiates the cause-and-effect chain that results in the problem. FMEA is a method for discovering, analyzing, and documenting potential failure modes and their impact on business operations and product development (Ramere and Laseinde, 2021). This approach optimizes maintenance tasks by giving them risk priority numbers (RPN). Its purpose is to anticipate and mitigate the repercussions of failure.
A collaborative approach from many sectors is required for FMEA implementation. Someone familiar with FMEA, such as a designer, manufacturer, or quality engineer, should lead the team. Engineers from the design, supply chain, and process departments, as well as operators, suppliers, and specialists in practical scenarios, should form the team.
